2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Bruce A. Scheidegger of Orland Park, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on February 9, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bruce Scheidegger was born on July 31, 1958, in | ||||||
6 | Cuba City, Wisconsin; his parents were Charles and Audrey | ||||||
7 | Scheidegger; he married Deb Sampson on October 27, 1984, in | ||||||
8 | Prophetstown; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Bruce Scheidegger graduated from Chadwick High | ||||||
10 | School in 1976; he subsequently graduated from Iowa Western | ||||||
11 | Community College and earned his bachelor's degree from the | ||||||
12 | University of Illinois and his master's degree from Western | ||||||
13 | Illinois University; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Bruce Scheidegger served as a teacher and coach at | ||||||
15 | Prophetstown High School, Dixon High School, and Sterling High | ||||||
16 | School; he was the Athletic Director of Carl Sandberg High | ||||||
17 | School in Orland Park at the time of his passing; he helped | ||||||
18 | young men and women to realize their dreams and always put | ||||||
19 | service before self; he will be a truly missed teammate at | ||||||
20 | Sandburg High School; and
| ||||||
21 | WHEREAS, Bruce Scheidegger was a member of the Trinity |

1 | Lutheran Church of Tinley Park, the Illinois Athletic Directors | ||||||
2 | Association, and the National Interscholastic Athletic | ||||||
3 | Administrators Association; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Bruce Scheidegger was preceded in death by his | ||||||
5 | mother, Audrey, and his brother-in-law, Doug Sampson; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Bruce Scheidegger is survived by his wife, Deb; | ||||||
7 | his daughters, Samantha (John) Adamczyk, Kristin (Kyle | ||||||
8 | Ullmark) Scheidegger, and Molly Scheidegger; his father | ||||||
9 | Charles Scheidegger; his sisters, Sherry (Carroll) Hayijenga | ||||||
10 | and Lori (John) Scibona; his brother, Brian (Nicki) | ||||||
11 | Scheidegger; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darrel and | ||||||
12 | Glenda Sampson; and his brothers-in-law, Bryan (Sue) Sampson | ||||||
13 | and Darwin (Annemarie) Sampson; therefore, be it

14 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
15 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
16 | his family and friends, the passing of Bruce A. Scheidegger; | ||||||
17 | and be it further

18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
19 | presented to the family of Bruce Scheidegger as an expression | ||||||
20 | of our sympathy.
