2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Leslie V. Schneider of Beach Park, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on December 15, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Leslie Schneider was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin | ||||||
6 | to Joseph and Eva Schneider on June 29, 1925; he married | ||||||
7 | Eleanor Haugen in Eau Claire and they settled in Beach Park in | ||||||
8 | 1952; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Leslie Schneider worked at V.R. Wesson in Waukegan | ||||||
10 | for 31 years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Leslie Schneider was a member of Lakeview Church | ||||||
12 | for many years; he enjoyed playing his harmonica and accordion, | ||||||
13 | and fishing; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Leslie Schneider was preceded in death by his | ||||||
15 | parents; his sister, Delores Halblieb; and his daughter, Judy | ||||||
16 | McCreary; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Leslie Schneider is survived by his wife of 69 | ||||||
18 | years, Eleanor; his children, Larry (Terry) Schneider, Peggy | ||||||
19 | (Bob) Lahti, and Calvin (Debbie) Schneider; eight | ||||||
20 | grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, with another on the |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Leslie V. Schneider, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Leslie Schneider as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our deepest sympathy.
