| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Edwin "Bing" Bertrand of Joliet, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on December 17, 2012; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand was born to Loretta (nee Gleason) | ||||||
| 6 | and Edwin Bertrand; he was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High | ||||||
| 7 | School; he married Margaret "Greta" Shannon; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand worked for, and retired from, EJ&E | ||||||
| 9 | Railway after 35 years; he was a U.S. Army veteran, a diehard | ||||||
| 10 | Chicago Cubs fan, and a devoted father and grandfather; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 12 | parents, Loretta and Edwin Bertrand; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Edwin Bertrand is survived by his wife of 55 | ||||||
| 14 | years, Margaret Bertrand; his daughter, Lori (Chris) Adler; his | ||||||
| 15 | son, Ed (Lori) Bertrand; his grandchildren, Meghan (A.J.) | ||||||
| 16 | Vivaldelli, C.J., Matthew, and Sarah Adler, Jenny Kate, and | ||||||
| 17 | Anna Bertrand; and his great-grandson, Austin; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 20 | Edwin Bertrand, and we extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||

| 1 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
