2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Earl H. Laube of Waukegan, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 25, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Earl Laube was born in Villa Park on February 8, | ||||||
6 | 1922 to Max and Adella Laube; he attended York Community High | ||||||
7 | School and later earned his GED; he served in the United States | ||||||
8 | Army during World War II and was part of the D-Day invasion of | ||||||
9 | Omaha Beach; he married Angela Miholic on September 27, 1952; | ||||||
10 | and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Earl Laube worked in civil service and was manager | ||||||
12 | of the bowling alleys at Great Lakes Naval Base; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Earl Laube was a lifelong member of Mother of God | ||||||
14 | Church and later Queen of Peace Church; he also belonged to the | ||||||
15 | Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Homer Dahringer | ||||||
16 | Post 281 in Waukegan; he was an avid member of the Lake County | ||||||
17 | Homing Pigeon Association; and

18 | WHEREAS, Earl Laube was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
19 | Angela; his parents; his 3 sisters, Phyllis Larson, Florence | ||||||
20 | Ankley, and Adelle; and one brother, Norman Laube; and

1 | WHEREAS, Earl Laube is survived by his son, Ken (Alena) | ||||||
2 | Laube; his daughter, Diane (Mark) Newhouse; and his 6 | ||||||
3 | grandchildren, Alex, Nathan, and Nina Laube, Leah Sailovich, | ||||||
4 | and Alan and Joel Newhouse; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Earl H. Laube, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Earl Laube as an expression of our | ||||||
12 | deepest sympathy.
