| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Mary M. (Adams) Stacel of Joliet, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on December 17, 2022; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Mary Stacel was born to Emily (Shepich) and John | ||||||
| 6 | Adams in Denver, Colorado on September 20, 1944; she married | ||||||
| 7 | David "Dave" Stacel; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Mary Stacel was actively involved with the | ||||||
| 9 | American Legion Post 1080 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served | ||||||
| 10 | as treasurer; she also volunteered in other activities; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Mary Stacel was a loving and devoted wife, | ||||||
| 12 | mother, and grandmother who was dedicated to taking care of | ||||||
| 13 | her family and faithfully attending all of her grandchildren's | ||||||
| 14 | activities without hesitation; she also loved animals and | ||||||
| 15 | shared her animal care skills in many ways, including pet | ||||||
| 16 | sitting when needed; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Mary Stacel was a loyal and faithful friend to | ||||||
| 18 | many; she will be remembered for her unselfishness and her | ||||||
| 19 | beautiful smile; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Mary Stacel is survived by her husband of 38 | ||||||

| 1 | years, Dave; her children, Heather (Jovan) Leary, Tara (Cal) | ||||||
| 2 | Waldvogel, Craig (Kim) Leary, and Sean Leary; her stepsons, | ||||||
| 3 | Jason Stacel and Scott (Melanie) Stacel; her grandchildren, | ||||||
| 4 | Gibson Waldvogel, Colton Waldvogel, Jackson Leary, Isabel | ||||||
| 5 | Stacel, and Emma Stacel; her sisters, Madelyn Adams and Sandra | ||||||
| 6 | (Dave) Watts; her cousins, nieces, and nephews; her best | ||||||
| 7 | friend, Annie Russell; and all of her "Hen" friends; | ||||||
