SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Jerome "Jerry" Brolley of
4Chicago, who passed away on December 11, 2012; and
5 WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley was born on February 12, 1928, in
6Chicago; he was a Navy veteran; and
7 WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley taught U.S. history at North
8Chicago Community High School, coached football and baseball
9there, and served as the dean and principal; in his retirement,
10he sold real estate for CBS Realty of Waukegan and was a driver
11for Enterprise Rent-A-Car; and
12 WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley was an lifelong golfer and at age
1384 had his first "hole-in-one"; and
14 WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley was preceded in death by his wife
15of 50 years, Nannette; and
16 WHEREAS, Jerome Brolley is survived by his sons, Mark and
17William; his daughters-in-law, Janet and Cathy; his
18grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, John, Tracy, and Matthew; his
19sisters, Barbara (Jack) Genster and Mary Ann McLain; and many
20nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Jerome Brolley, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Jerome Brolley as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
