AN ACT concerning business.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The Automotive Repair Act is amended by adding
Section 17 as follows:
(815 ILCS 306/17 new)
Sec. 17. Disclosure; posting of prices. An automotive
repair facility shall post in each area of its premises where
customers place work orders the following information:
(1) the hourly charge for labor;
(2) the charges and conditions under which the facility
may impose charges for storage;
(3) prices for commonly used repair parts; and
(4) the charge for diagnosis of malfunctions.
