Bill Title: Amends the Public Community College Act. Provides that beginning January 1, 2024, a community college district, upon a request from the school district of a high school located within the boundaries of the community college district, shall provide individualized disaggregated data on the enrollment of students in community college remediation courses from the most recently completed academic year. Provides that a signed remediation data sharing agreement between the school district and the community college district must be entered into before sharing remediation data. Sets forth requirements for the remediation data sharing agreement. Provides for the development and use of a model remediation data sharing agreement. Provides that a community college district may combine its negotiations with multiple school districts to establish one uniform remediation data sharing agreement or may negotiate individual remediation data sharing agreements with school districts. Sets forth provisions concerning student privacy. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The P-20 Longitudinal Education Data System Act
5is amended by adding Section 45 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 13/45 new)
7 Sec. 45. Data on enrollment of students in community
8college remediation courses.
9 (a) Upon the completion and posting of the Illinois State
10School Report Card, individualized disaggregated data on the
11enrollment of students in community college remediation
12courses from the most recently completed academic year shall
13be made available to school districts on an annual basis by a
14data sharing agreement consistent with the following:
15 (1) The State Education Authorities shall disclose
16 data from the longitudinal data system collected only in
17 connection with a data sharing arrangement meeting the
18 requirements of this Section.
19 (2) The requirements of Section 25.
20 (b) The data shall not be used in the evaluation of
21licensed educators.
