Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that Illinois residents that are retired members of the United States Armed Forces shall not be charged more than $45 for initial or renewal registration for their vehicles.

2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding
5Section 3-806.10 as follows:
6 (625 ILCS 5/3-806.10 new)
7 Sec. 3-806.10. Registration fees for retired military
8members. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3-806 of
9this Code, retired members of the United States Armed Forces
10who reside in Illinois shall not be charged more than $45 for
11initial issuance or renewal of vehicle registration.
