| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to acknowledge milestones in the | ||||||
| 4 | lives of the people of the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop 107 in Jacksonville are | ||||||
| 6 | celebrating their 90th anniversary; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Grace Methodist Episcopal Church in | ||||||
| 8 | Jacksonville applied for a troop charter in August of 1920; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Scouting was incorporated on February 8, 1910 and | ||||||
| 10 | chartered by Congress on June 15, 1916; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville | ||||||
| 12 | continues to serve as the sponsor of Troop 107; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Boy Scout Troop 107 will celebrate their Eagle | ||||||
| 14 | Scout dinner on November 20, 2010 and will showcase a display | ||||||
| 15 | of the history of the Troop; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 17 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 18 | congratulate Boy Scout Troop 107 in Jacksonville on this | ||||||
| 19 | momentous occasion; and be it further
