2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Julie Ann | ||||||
4 | Alexander of Jerseyville, who passed away on May 14, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Julie Alexander was born in Alton to Donald J. and | ||||||
6 | Dorothy V. (Hogle) Calvey on August 23, 1965; she married Larry | ||||||
7 | J. Alexander in Jerseyville on June 24, 1989; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Julie Alexander worked as Activity Director at VIP | ||||||
9 | Manor in Wood River; she later worked as the Activity Director | ||||||
10 | at Jerseyville Manor; after having children, she opened up her | ||||||
11 | home as a daycare with the assistance of her mother; once her | ||||||
12 | daughters began elementary school, she started working at | ||||||
13 | Strang & Parish, Ltd./Colonial Title & Escrow in 2002 until her | ||||||
14 | retirement in April of 2016; along with her husband, she owned | ||||||
15 | Alexander & Gubser Funeral Home; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Julie Alexander was a member of First Assembly of | ||||||
17 | God Church of Jerseyville, where she spent many years as a | ||||||
18 | Sunday school teacher; she was also involved in school | ||||||
19 | activities with her daughters from grade school through | ||||||
20 | college; she was active with the Jersey County Relay for Life | ||||||
21 | and a member of the Jersey County Republican Women; and

1 | WHEREAS, Julie Alexander was preceded in death by her | ||||||
2 | parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and | ||||||
3 | Bernice Alexander; her brothers-in-law, James, Gary, and | ||||||
4 | Ronald Alexander; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Alexander; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Julie Alexander is survived by her husband, Larry; | ||||||
7 | her daughters, Alyssa Breann Alexander and Kari Jo Alexander; | ||||||
8 | her special niece whom she raised as a daughter and her | ||||||
9 | husband, Kristie and Brad Ross, and their son and Julie's | ||||||
10 | special buddy, David Ross; her brother and his wife, Steve and | ||||||
11 | Amanda Calvey; her brother-in-law and his wife, Floyd and Diane | ||||||
12 | Alexander; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and | ||||||
13 | nephews; therefore, be it

14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
15 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
16 | mourn the passing of Julie Ann Alexander, and extend our | ||||||
17 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
18 | and loved her; and be it further

19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
20 | presented to the family of Julie Alexander as an expression of | ||||||
21 | our deepest sympathy.
