| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ed and Mary Morley | ||||||
| 4 | on winning the 2012 Christifideles Award; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, The prestigious Christifideles Award is bestowed | ||||||
| 6 | on an individual or individuals who have demonstrated, by | ||||||
| 7 | participation in parish life, the personal and ministerial | ||||||
| 8 | renewal set forth by Pope John Paul II's exhortation | ||||||
| 9 | Christifideles Laici; this appeal called upon the laity to the | ||||||
| 10 | vocation of responsibility, to stir and promote a deeper | ||||||
| 11 | awareness among all the faithful of the gift and responsibility | ||||||
| 12 | they share, both as a group and as individuals, in the | ||||||
| 13 | communion and mission of the church; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The award was presented to Ed and Mary by Francis | ||||||
| 15 | Cardinal George at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago; therefore, | ||||||
| 16 | be it

| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 18 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 19 | we congratulate Ed and Mary Morley on winning the | ||||||
| 20 | Christifideles Award; and be it further

| 21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
