| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to
congratulate the members of the | ||||||
| 4 | Southeast High School girls 4x100-meter relay team, the | ||||||
| 5 | Spartans,
on winning the Class 2A Girls Track and Field State | ||||||
| 6 | Championship; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The members of the 2016 championship-winning | ||||||
| 8 | relay team are
Jamari Drake, Dontavia Howard, Katelynn | ||||||
| 9 | Robinson, and Alexis Henry; their
winning time was 48.15 | ||||||
| 10 | seconds; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, In addition to a State championship in the | ||||||
| 12 | 4x100-meter relay, the
Spartans took home a third-place team | ||||||
| 13 | trophy at the State
track and field meet on May 21, 2016 in | ||||||
| 14 | Charleston; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Spartans, clad in their blue, white, and gold | ||||||
| 16 | school colors, scored a total of 40 points, buoyed by their | ||||||
| 17 | second-place finish in the 4x400
relay; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, The Spartans are coached by Barb
Montgomery; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Southeast High School is well known for its | ||||||
| 20 | athletics; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, The Spartans serve as models of hard work and | ||||||
| 2 | dedication for the
people of the State of Illinois; therefore, | ||||||
| 3 | be it
| ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 5 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 6 | congratulate the members of the Southeast High School girls | ||||||
| 7 | 4x100-meter relay team, the Spartans, on their outstanding
| ||||||
| 8 | performance at the State championship and we wish them | ||||||
| 9 | continued success and
happiness in the future; and be it | ||||||
| 10 | further
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the Spartans as a symbol of our esteem and | ||||||
