| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Niles West High School, | ||||||
| 4 | the Wolves, on winning the school's first boys gymnastics State | ||||||
| 5 | title; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Wolves won the championship at Hinsdale | ||||||
| 7 | Central on Friday, May 13, 2016; they finished third in State | ||||||
| 8 | in 1965 and 2015, second in 1975, and fifth in 2014; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, The Wolves beat Glenbard West, Fremd, Schaumburg, | ||||||
| 10 | Palatine, Deerfield, Mundelein, and Wheaton-Warrenville South | ||||||
| 11 | in team competition; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The Wolves are now tied with the 1992 Glenbard | ||||||
| 13 | North State Championship team for the closest finish in State | ||||||
| 14 | history with a narrow, .35 margin of victory; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Wolves title was the fourth in school history, | ||||||
| 16 | but the first in gymnastics; the Wolves won baseball State | ||||||
| 17 | titles in 1972 and 1975, and a girls basketball title in 1979; | ||||||

| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 20 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
