2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Pastor Wade Hudson | ||||||
4 | on his consecration as Bishop on June 28, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson serves Moses Temple Missionary | ||||||
6 | Baptist Church in Chicago; he entered the ministry in 2001 and | ||||||
7 | was elected Pastor of Moses Temple in January of 2011; he has | ||||||
8 | organized clothing and toy drives, fed those who are in need, | ||||||
9 | and helped church members and those in the community with job | ||||||
10 | placement, resume services, and expungements; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson was born and raised on the South | ||||||
12 | Side of Chicago; he is a graduate of Percy L. Julian High | ||||||
13 | School and is a 22-year United Stats Army Veteran, serving | ||||||
14 | multiple tours of duty, including 2 for Operation Enduring | ||||||
15 | Freedom; he continues to work for the Department of Veterans | ||||||
16 | Affairs and started his own not-for-profit organization to | ||||||
17 | assist veterans with housing, employment, services, and job | ||||||
18 | training; and

19 | WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson earned his associates degree in | ||||||
20 | psychology from Harold Washington College; he studied theology | ||||||
21 | at Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute in Houston, | ||||||
22 | Texas, where he received his doctorate and master's degrees; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
3 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
4 | we congratulate Pastor Wade Hudson on his consecration as | ||||||
5 | Bishop and wish him many years of success; and be it further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to Pastor Hudson as an expression of our esteem and | ||||||
8 | respect.
