2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lana Gehring, | ||||||
4 | short-track skater from Glenview, on winning a bronze medal at | ||||||
5 | the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Lana Gehring is a 2009 graduate of Glenbrook South | ||||||
7 | High School; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, She won her medal in the 3,000 meter-relay; Team | ||||||
9 | USA ended a 16-year drought at the Winter Olympics with this | ||||||
10 | impressive win; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Lana previously competed for the Northbrook | ||||||
12 | Speedskating Club and was a friendly rival of fellow Olympian | ||||||
13 | and fellow Glenbrook Class of 2009 alum Brian Hansen; | ||||||
14 | therefore, be it

15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
16 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
17 | congratulate Lana Gehring and wish her the best in her future | ||||||
18 | endeavors; and be it further
