2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lisa Chesson of | ||||||
4 | Plainfield on being named to the 2010 United States Olympic | ||||||
5 | women's hockey team; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Lisa is a 2004 Plainfield High School graduate; | ||||||
7 | and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Lisa was a member of the U.S. Women's National | ||||||
9 | Team for the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation World | ||||||
10 | Women's Championship, which brought home the gold; she was a | ||||||
11 | member of the 2nd place U.S. Women's Select Team for the 2007 | ||||||
12 | Four Nations Cup; she was a member of the U.S. Women's Select | ||||||
13 | Team in 2008-2009; and she was a member of the U.S. Women's | ||||||
14 | Under-22 Select Team for the 2007 Under-22 Series with Canada; | ||||||
15 | and

16 | WHEREAS, She was a four-time participant in the U.S.A. | ||||||
17 | Hockey Women's National Festival and a two-time U.S.A. Hockey | ||||||
18 | Player Development Camp attendee; she played four years at the | ||||||
19 | Ohio State University of the Western Collegiate Hockey | ||||||
20 | Association and had outstanding seasons during her college | ||||||
21 | career; and

1 | WHEREAS, During her high school and middle school career | ||||||
2 | she had several career defining moments, including being named | ||||||
3 | the 2000 Female athlete of the year at Heritage Grove Middle | ||||||
4 | School and receiving the 2002 Sportsmanship Award and 2003 Best | ||||||
5 | Defenseman Award at the Chicago Showcase; she was a two-year | ||||||
6 | letter winner in track and field; she was the only girl to | ||||||
7 | compete in the boys' varsity all-star game in 2004; she | ||||||
8 | competed for the Plainfield Central High School hockey team for | ||||||
9 | two years; she played for the Chicago Mission U19 team; and she | ||||||
10 | played for Team Illinois; and

11 | WHEREAS, Lisa is the daughter of Jeff and MaryAnn Chesson; | ||||||
12 | Lisa has one brother, Phillip; therefore, be it
| ||||||
13 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
14 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
15 | congratulate Lisa Chesson on being named to the 2010 United | ||||||
16 | States Olympic women's hockey team and wish her continued | ||||||
17 | success in the future; and be it further
