| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Shaun Waldron on | ||||||
| 4 | the occasion of being the recipient of the 3M Outstanding | ||||||
| 5 | Economic Educator Award; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The 3M Outstanding Economic Educator Award is | ||||||
| 7 | given by 3M and Econ Illinois to educators that provide | ||||||
| 8 | leadership for economics in their schools, show evidence of | ||||||
| 9 | professional growth in economic education, and affect student | ||||||
| 10 | achievement or growth in economic understanding; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Shaun Waldron currently teaches economics at | ||||||
| 12 | Niles West High School in Skokie; she is a long-standing | ||||||
| 13 | teacher with experience in teaching the principles of | ||||||
| 14 | economics; she has served in the grading process for A.P. | ||||||
| 15 | Economics exams; she has presented professional development | ||||||
| 16 | presentations to fellow economics teachers; she is the | ||||||
| 17 | co-writer of an economics curriculum for her school district; | ||||||
| 18 | she also helps with the review of textbook materials used in | ||||||
| 19 | A.P. classes and participates in education opportunities that | ||||||
| 20 | enhance her teaching of economics; and
| ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Shaun Waldron's innovative method of instruction | ||||||
| 22 | and great knowledge of economics has inspired many other | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | teachers and students throughout the country; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Shaun Waldron will receive the 3M Outstanding | ||||||
| 3 | Economic Educator Award and a cash prize at the Econ Illinois | ||||||
| 4 | Annual Economic Educator Day Awards Luncheon, which will be | ||||||
| 5 | held at the Union League Club of Chicago on October 27, 2009; | ||||||
| 6 | therefore, be it

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 9 | congratulate Shaun Waldron on the occasion of being the | ||||||
| 10 | recipient of the 3M Outstanding Economic Educator Award and | ||||||
| 11 | wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be | ||||||
| 12 | it further
