HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate Janet Serdar on the
occasion of her retirement from the City of Crest Hill after 35
and a half years of service; and
WHEREAS, Janet Serdar began her career in the Crest Hill
City Clerk's Office on October 20, 1986; she became the Deputy
City Clerk of Crest Hill in March of 1987; and
WHEREAS, Janet Serdar was an active and diligent member of
the governing body of the City of Crest Hill and faithfully
served its residents; and
WHEREAS, Janet Serdar has served on various committees
within the City of Crest Hill and is an active member of the
Crest Hill Women's Civic League; and
WHEREAS, Janet Serdar is the wife of Steven Serdar; they
have been married since October 10, 1987; together, they have
three children, Michael, Matthew, and Mark; and
WHEREAS, Janet Serdar's retirement plans with her husband
include traveling and spending more time with family and
friends; and

WHEREAS, Janet Serdar will retire from the City of Crest
Hill on January 7, 2022; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we congratulate Janet Serdar on her retirement from the City
of Crest Hill, thank her for her service, and wish her the best
in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Janet Serdar as an expression of our esteem and
respect.
