2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate William J. Swanston on the | ||||||
4 | occasion of his retirement after 34 years of service to Downers | ||||||
5 | Grove Township; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, William Swanston has been a resident of the | ||||||
7 | Village of Westmont since 1968; he was first elected to the | ||||||
8 | Downers Grove Township Board in 1981; previously, he served as | ||||||
9 | Treasurer for Westmont for 4 years and on the Westmont Plan | ||||||
10 | Commission for 3 years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, William Swanston currently serves with the | ||||||
12 | executive recruiting firm Edwards, Swanston & Fox; he is the | ||||||
13 | Treasurer of the Westmont Lions Club; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, William Swanston has 6 children - 4 boys and 2 | ||||||
15 | girls, and 11 grandchildren; he was born in 1935 on the South | ||||||
16 | Side of Chicago; he is of Irish heritage and is a Chicago White | ||||||
17 | Sox fan; and

18 | WHEREAS, A celebration dinner will be held in William | ||||||
19 | Swanston's honor at Papa Passero's Sports Bar & Restaurant in | ||||||
20 | Westmont on June 4, 2015; therefore, be it

2 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||

4 | years of service to Downers Grove Township and wish him the | ||||||
5 | best in all his future endeavors; and be it further
