| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Mark Thomas on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as business manager of Steamfitters | ||||||
| 5 | Local 439; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Mark Thomas joined Steamfitters Local 439 on July | ||||||
| 7 | 8, 1983 and has served his union for 40 years; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Mark Thomas has held the titles of apprentice, | ||||||
| 9 | journeymen, foreman, general foreman, instructor, executive | ||||||
| 10 | board member, trustee, training coordinator, business agent, | ||||||
| 11 | business manager, and financial secretary; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Mark Thomas has been instrumental in keeping | ||||||
| 13 | Steamfitters Local 439's reputation as a leading force in the | ||||||
| 14 | piping industry relevant by holding high standards of | ||||||
| 15 | craftsmanship and character for its members; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Mark Thomas has strengthened the relationships | ||||||
| 17 | with the metro east communities that Steamfitter's Local 439 | ||||||
| 18 | serves with charitable acts and help when needed; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Mark Thomas is a model of what a union | ||||||
| 20 | steamfitter should be; therefore, be it
