| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Eziekel Elliott on | ||||||
| 4 | winning the 2015 College Football National Championship with | ||||||
| 5 | the Ohio State Buckeyes; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott played running back for Ohio State | ||||||
| 7 | University; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott rushed for 220 yards and scored 2 | ||||||
| 9 | touchdowns against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game; | ||||||
| 10 | and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott helped Ohio State University win | ||||||
| 12 | the 2015 Sugar Bowl with 230 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns; he | ||||||
| 13 | was named the game's Most Valuable Offensive Player; and

| 14 | WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott led Ohio State University to its | ||||||
| 15 | first College Football National Championship with 246 yards | ||||||
| 16 | rushing and 4 touchdowns and was named the game's Most Valuable | ||||||

| 18 | WHEREAS, Eziekel Elliott was born and raised in Alton to | ||||||
| 19 | parents Stacey and Dawn Elliott; he attended elementary school | ||||||
| 20 | in Alton and John Burroughs School in St. Louis, where he | ||||||

| 1 | participated in football, basketball, and track and helped John | ||||||
| 2 | Burroughs reach 2 championship games; therefore, be it
