Bill Title: Amends the Chicago School District Article of the School Code. Provides that, each fiscal year, the school board must expend a minimum of $500,000 on grants for training parents or guardians of students in the school district on the individualized education program process. Requires the training to include a description of the parent's or guardian's rights during the individualized education program process and must engage the parent or guardian in the process. Effective immediately.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
5 | 34-18.60 as follows:

7 | Sec. 34-18.60. Individualized education program training; | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
