SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
20 ILCS 605/605-440 new

Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that neither the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity nor the Department of Revenue shall award any discretionary tax or other incentive to any entity whose primary business is the production of oil or gas.

1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic
5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is
6 amended by adding Section 605-440 as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 605/605-440 new)
8 Sec. 605-440. Oil or gas business; no incentives.
9 Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, neither the
10 Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity nor the
11 Department of Revenue shall award any discretionary tax or
12 other incentive to any entity whose primary business is the
13 production of oil or gas.
