1 AN ACT concerning civil law.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5 changing Section 1-105 as follows:
6 (735 ILCS 5/1-105) (from Ch. 110, par. 1-105)
7 Sec. 1-105. Enforcement of Act and rules. The The Supreme
8 Court may provide by rule for the orderly and expeditious
9 administration and enforcement of this Act and of the rules,
10 including the striking of pleadings, the dismissal of claims,
11 the entry of defaults, the assessment of costs, the assessment
12 against an offending party of the reasonable expenses,
13 including attorney's fees, which any violation causes another
14 party to incur, or other action that may be appropriate.
