Bill Title: Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes. In the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act, the Life Care Facilities Act, the Nursing Home Care Act, the MC/DD Act, and the ID/DD Community Care Act, removes provisions requiring that establishments or facilities licensed under the Acts post on the home page of the licensed establishment's or facility's website the following statement: "The Illinois Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is a free resident advocacy service available to the public.". Provides that an establishment or a facility is not required to comply with the requirement to post the required information in instances where the parent company operates in multiple states and the establishment or facility does not maintain a unique website. Effective January 1, 2024.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

210 ILCS 47/3-615 new

Amends the Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act, the Life Care Facilities Act, the Nursing Home Care Act, the MC/DD Act, and the ID/DD Community Care Act. Provides that establishments or facilities licensed under the Acts shall post on the home page of the licensed establishment's or facility's website specified information about the Department on Aging's Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. Provides that an establishment or facility may comply with the provisions by posting the required information on the website of its parent company if the establishment does not maintain a unique website and is not required to comply with the provisions if the establishment or facility and any parent company do not maintain a website. Contains other provisions. Effective January 1, 2024.

2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is
5amended by adding Section 73 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 9/73 new)
7 Sec. 73. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
8information.
9 (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
10establishments shall post on the home page of the
11establishment's website the following:
12 (1) The statement "The Illinois Long Term Care
13 Ombudsman Program is a free resident advocacy service
14 available to the public.".
15 (2) The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's statewide
16 toll-free telephone number.
17 (3) A link to the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's
18 website.
19 (b) An establishment:
20 (1) may comply with this Section by posting the
21 required information on the website of the establishment's
22 parent company if the establishment does not maintain a
23 unique website; and

1 (2) is not required to comply with this Section if the
2 establishment and any parent company do not maintain a
3 website.
4 Section 10. The Life Care Facilities Act is amended by
5adding Section 10.3 as follows:
6 (210 ILCS 40/10.3 new)
7 Sec. 10.3. Posting of Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
8information.
9 (a) Except as provided under subsection (b), all licensed
10facilities shall post on the home page of the facility's
11website the following:
12 (1) The statement "The Illinois Long Term Care
