Bill Title: Proposes to amend the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution. Prohibits a person from holding the following offices for more than a total of 8 years, provided that service before the second Wednesday in January of 2015 shall not be considered in the calculation of a person's service: Speaker of the House of Representatives, President of the Senate, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Minority Leader of the Senate, Majority Leader in the House of Representatives, Assistant Majority Leader in the Senate, Assistant Minority Leader in the Senate, Assistant Majority Leader in the House of Representatives, Assistant Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Deputy Majority Leader in the House of Representatives, Deputy Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Majority Caucus Chairman in the Senate, Minority Caucus Chairman in the Senate, Majority Conference Chairman in the House of Representatives, and the Minority Conference Chairman in the House of Representatives. Effective upon being declared adopted.
