Bill Title: Amends the School Code. Provides that a school board may, by resolution, adopt an alternative school calendar for a 4-day school week, which must be approved by the State Board of Education. Provides that school boards adopting an alternative calendar must adopt the calendar for all buildings in the entire district. Requires the school board to annually prepare a calendar for the school term, specifying the opening and closing dates and providing a minimum term of at least 150 days to ensure 141 days of actual pupil attendance. Sets forth related provisions concerning the calendar, experimental educational programs, special education reimbursement, and the compilation of average daily attendance under the State aid formula.
