Summary

Amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. Provides that, upon request of an authority making an appointment to a board or commission created by State law or upon request of the Chairman or Minority Spokesperson of the Senate Executive Appointments Committee, the Attorney General shall issue an advisory opinion concerning whether the person being appointed meets the qualifications of the office to which the appointing authority intends to make its appointment.
