Summary

Amends the Department of Insurance Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Insurance shall request a waiver from the federal government regarding the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's (PPACA) medical loss ratio provisions. Provides that the Department shall conduct an analysis and study of and shall report to the General Assembly no later than January 1, 2012 concerning the implementation of PPACA in this State and the estimated impact of PPACA's year 2014 mandate concerning employers in this State.
