Summary
Amends the Illinois Lottery Law. Requires the Department of the Lottery, beginning on January 1, 2015 or as soon thereafter as is practical, to offer a special instant "Nursing Home Resident Assistance" scratch-off game. Requires the net revenue from that game to be deposited into the Nursing Home Resident Assistance Fund for appropriation by the General Assembly solely to the Department of Public Health for the making of grants to licensed nursing homes that are home to Medicare or Medicaid dependent residents. Authorizes the Department, after consulting with the Department of Public Health, to adopt rules necessary to implement and administer the game. Defines "net revenue". Amends the State Finance Act to create the Nursing Home Resident Assistance Fund. Effective immediately.
