AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1499
AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1499 on page 1,
line 10, by inserting "3.03-1, "after "3.03,"; and
on page 3, line 7, by inserting "3.03-1," after "3.03,"; and
on page 3, line 9, by inserting after after "2012." the
following:
"In a petition for forfeiture prior to trial alleging a
violation of Section 3 of this Act, the burden is on the
prosecution to prove by a preponderance of the evidence that
the person arrested violated Section 3 of this Act and the
court shall make a finding that the person arrested poses a
health or safety risk to the companion animals seized."; and
on page 3, line 22, by inserting "3.03-1," after "3.03,".
