1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 720

2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 720 on page 2, by | ||||||
3 | replacing lines 18 through 22 with the following: | ||||||
4 | " (c-10) If the roadway is approved for such use by the | ||||||
5 | county sheriff, a person may operate a side-by-side | ||||||
6 | all-terrain vehicle or a recreational off-highway vehicle on a | ||||||
7 | roadway that is not a State highway, federal highway, or | ||||||
8 | within the boundaries of an incorporated area and where the | ||||||
9 | speed limit is 55 miles per hour or less. As used in this | ||||||
10 | subsection, "side-by-side all-terrain vehicle" means an | ||||||
11 | all-terrain vehicle that is equipped with a steering wheel, a | ||||||
12 | bench or bucket-type seating designed for at least 2 people to | ||||||
13 | sit side-by-side, seat belts, a slow moving vehicle emblem, a | ||||||
14 | horn, and a strobe light installed on the vehicle's roof. ".
