AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 720
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 720 on page 2, by
3replacing lines 18 through 22 with the following:
4 "(c-10) If the roadway is approved for such use by the
5county sheriff, a person may operate a side-by-side
6all-terrain vehicle or a recreational off-highway vehicle on a
7roadway that is not a State highway, federal highway, or
8within the boundaries of an incorporated area and where the
9speed limit is 55 miles per hour or less. As used in this
10subsection, "side-by-side all-terrain vehicle" means an
11all-terrain vehicle that is equipped with a steering wheel, a
12bench or bucket-type seating designed for at least 2 people to
13sit side-by-side, seat belts, a slow moving vehicle emblem, a
14horn, and a strobe light installed on the vehicle's roof.".
