Section
123.43A,
subsection
2,
Code
2013,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

2.
A
micro-distillery
shall
not
sell
more
than
one
and
3
one-half
liters
one
case
per
person
per
day,
of
micro-distilled
4
spirits
on
the
premises
of
the
micro-distillery.
In
addition,
5
a
micro-distillery
shall
not
directly
ship
micro-distilled
6
spirits
for
sale
at
retail.
The
micro-distillery
shall
7
maintain
records
of
individual
purchases
of
micro-distilled
8
spirits
at
the
micro-distillery
for
three
years.

123.43A,
Code
2013,
is
amended
by
adding
the

following
new
subsection:

SUBSECTION

3A.
A
holder
of
a
class
“A”
micro-distilled

spirits
permit
holder
may
conduct
no
more
than
fifty-two

special
events
per
year
on
the
premises
of
the
micro-distillery
14
in
which
liquor
that
is
purchased
is
served
by
a
special
class
15
“C”
liquor
control
license
holder
with
catering
privileges
to
16
serve
liquor,
wine,
and
beer.

EXPLANATION

This
bill
concerns
the
authority
of
a
micro-distilled
19
spirits
permit
holder.

The
bill
increases
from
1.5
liters
to
one
case
the
amount
of
21
micro-distilled
spirits
a
permit
holder
can
sell
to
a
person
22
per
day
on
the
premises
of
the
micro-distillery.
23
The
bill
also
authorizes
a
micro-distilled
spirits
permit
24
holder
to
conduct
no
more
than
52
special
events
per
year
in
25
which
liquor
that
is
purchased
is
served
on
the
premises
by
a
26
special
class
“C”
liquor
control
license
holder
with
catering
27
privileges
to
serve
liquor,
wine,
and
beer.
