S.F. 2031 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 148.6A Prescribing of ivermectin or 1 hydroxychloroquine —— no licensee discipline. 2 The prescribing of ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine by a 3 physician for the treatment of COVID-19 shall not constitute 4 grounds for licensee discipline. For the purposes of this 5 section, “COVID-19” means the same as defined in section 686D.2. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill provides that the prescribing of ivermectin or 10 hydroxychloroquine by a physician for the treatment of COVID-19 11 shall not be grounds for licensee discipline. 12 -1- LSB 5508XS (3) 89 pf/rh 1/ 1
