the
multiyear

EFFECTIVE
UPON
ENACTMENT.
This
Act,
being
deemed
of

immediate
importance,
takes
effect
upon
enactment.

of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

bill
relates
to
career
and
technical
education

opportunities
and
partnerships.

The
bill
restores
a
reference
to
school
corporations
27
mistakenly
changed
under
2016
Iowa
Acts,
chapter
1108,
and

includes
a
reference
to
an
accredited
nonpublic
school,
29
relating
to
student
participation
in
work-based
learning
30
opportunities.

The
bill
authorizes
an
approved
regional
career
and
32
technical
education
planning
partnership
to
receive
state
33
funds
for
purposes
allowed
under
Code
section
258.14(6)
and

provides
that
any
such
funds
received
by
a
school
district
are

The

amends
Code

258.14(6)
to
authorize
a
partnership

to
purchase
career
and
technical
education
equipment,
including

consumable
supplies

consumable

that
will
be
made
into
products
to
be
sold
or
used

personally
by
students,
teachers,
and
other
persons.

Federal
funds
received
as
a
reimbursement
for

the
