H.F. 279 Section 1. Section 441.17, Code 2023, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 4A. Comply with any policy for employees 3 or expenditures established by the respective county or city 4 conference board in the jurisdiction that the assessor serves. 5 If the conference board has not adopted policies for employees 6 or expenditures, a county assessor shall comply with the 7 policies for employees or expenditures adopted by the county 8 board of supervisors and a city assessor shall comply with the 9 policies for employees or expenditures adopted by the city 10 council. 11 EXPLANATION 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 13 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 14 This bill requires an assessor to comply with any policy for 15 employees or expenditures established by the respective county 16 or city conference board in the jurisdiction that the assessor 17 serves.
