1.
Section
441.17,
Code
2023,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
4A.
Comply
with
any
policy
for
employees

or
expenditures
established
by
the
respective
county
or
city
4
conference
board
in
the
jurisdiction
that
the
assessor
serves.

If
the
conference
board
has
not
adopted
policies
for
employees
6
or
expenditures,
a
county
assessor
shall
comply
with
the
7
policies
for
employees
or
expenditures
adopted
by
the
county
8
board
of
supervisors
and
a
city
assessor
shall
comply
with
the
9
policies
for
employees
or
expenditures
adopted
by
the
city
10
council.

inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance

the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
an
assessor
to
comply
with
any
policy
for

employees
or
expenditures
established
by
the
respective
county

or
city
conference
board
in
the
jurisdiction
that
the
assessor

serves.
If
the
conference
board
has
not
adopted
policies
for
18
employees
or
expenditures,
a
county
assessor
shall
comply
with
19
the
policies
for
employees
or
expenditures
adopted
by
the
20
county
board
of
supervisors
and
a
city
assessor
shall
comply
21
with
the
policies
for
employees
or
expenditures
adopted
by
the
22
city
council.
