REPEAL.
Section
483A.36,
Code
2022,
is
repealed.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
repeals
Code
section
483A.36,
which
generally
7
prohibits
a
person
from
having
or
carrying
a
gun,
other
than
8
a
pistol
or
revolver,
in
or
on
a
vehicle
on
a
public
highway
9
unless
the
gun
is
taken
down
or
totally
contained
in
a
securely
10
fastened
case
and
its
barrels
and
attached
magazines
are
11
unloaded.
The
bill
strikes
the
scheduled
fines
that
correspond
12
to
a
violation
of
Code
section
483A.36.
