Section
466A.4,
subsection
1,
Code
2014,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

1.
Public
water
supply
utilities,
counties,
county

conservation
boards,
and
cities
,
and
watershed
management
4
authorities
may
also
be
eligible
and
apply
for
and
receive
5
local
watershed
improvement
grants
for
water
quality
6
improvement
projects.
An
applicant
shall
coordinate
with
a
7
local
watershed
improvement
committee
or
a
soil
and
water
8
conservation
district
and
shall
include
in
the
application
a
9
description
of
existing
projects
and
any
potential
impact
the
10
proposed
project
may
have
on
existing
or
planned
water
quality
11
improvement
projects.

Code
2014,
is
amended
by
adding
the

following
new
subsection:

management
authorities
to
the
list

of
entities
eligible
to
apply
for
and
receive
local
watershed

improvement
grants.
Watershed
management
authorities
are

created
by
two
or
more
political
subdivisions
through
a
Code

chapter
28E
agreement,
and
the
political
subdivisions
must
be
26
located
in
the
same
United
States
geological
survey
hydrologic

unit
code
