H.F. 2274 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 17A.6B Agency fees internet site 1 —— notice. 2 1. The office of the chief information officer shall 3 establish and maintain a user-friendly state services fee 4 database and internet site for use by the public. Each agency 5 shall make available through the internet site the current 6 fees, rates, and charges imposed by the agency on the public. 7 2. The state services fee internet site shall provide timely 8 notice of any modifications in fees, rates, and charges imposed 9 by an agency by providing for an electronic mail notification 10 system for interested parties. 11 Sec. 2. AGENCY FEES INTERNET SITE —— DEVELOPMENT. By 12 December 1, 2014, the office of the chief information officer 13 shall, in coordination with applicable state agencies, develop 14 and establish an initial version of a state service fee 15 database and internet site as provided by this Act. Each 16 agency shall assist the office of the chief information officer 17 in development of the database and internet site. 18 EXPLANATION 19 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 20 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 21 This bill requires the office of the chief information 22 officer to establish and maintain a user-friendly state 23 services fee database and internet site for use by the public. 24 The bill also provides that the internet site shall provide 25 timely notice of any modifications in fees, rates, and charges 26 imposed by an agency by providing for an electronic mail 27 notification system for interested parties. The bill directs 28 the office of the chief information officer, in coordination 29 with applicable state agencies, to develop and establish an 30 initial version of a state service fee database and internet 31 site by December 1, 2014. 32 -1- LSB 5139HV (2) 85 ec/nh 1/ 1
