For
the
fiscal
year
beginning
2
July
1,
2022,
under
both
fee-for-service
and
managed
care
3
administration
of
the
Medicaid
program,
critical
access
4
hospitals
shall
be
reimbursed
for
inpatient
and
outpatient
5
substance
use
disorder
services
at
three
hundred
percent
of
6
the
cost-based
reimbursement
rate
as
determined
by
applying
7
the
hospital-specific
critical
access
hospital
cost
adjustment
8
factor
methodology
utilizing
the
most
recent
and
complete
cost
9
reporting
period
as
applied
prospectively.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
for
the
fiscal
period
beginning
14
July
1,
2022,
under
both
fee-for-service
and
managed
15
care
administration
of
the
Medicaid
program,
critical
16
access
hospitals
shall
be
reimbursed
at
300
percent
of
the
17
cost-based
reimbursement
rate
as
determined
using
the
standard
18
critical
access
hospital
methodology
used
in
determining
19
the
reimbursement
rates
for
other
critical
access
hospital
20
inpatient
and
outpatient
services.
