A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The department of human resources development, department of education, University of Hawaii system, Hawaii health systems corporation, and judiciary shall each file an annual report to the legislature on personnel vacancies.  The annual report on personnel vacancies shall be filed with the legislature by each entity no later than December 31 of each year.

     The annual report on personnel vacancies shall include the following information:

     (1)  Identification of any vacant positions that existed from October 1 of the previous calendar year through September 30 of the year of report submission;

     (2)  The means of funding for each vacant position; and

     (3)  The duration of each vacancy.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Requires DHRD, DOE, UH, HHSC and JUD to file annual personnel vacancy reports with the legislature by the last day of each year.  (SD1)
