A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to highway safety.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2013-2014 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2014-2015 for a grant-in-aid to the city and county of Honolulu and the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui for efforts to control the operation of vehicles under the influence of an intoxicant, including but not limited to intoxicant control roadblock programs, to be allocated as follows:

     City and county of Honolulu       $          

     County of Hawaii                  $          

     County of Kauai                   $          

     County of Maui                    $          

     Total                             $          

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the appropriate county department of the city and county of Honolulu and the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2013.
