STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  The purpose of this Act is appropriate moneys to allow the state historic preservation division to address historic residences.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2015-2016 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 to be deposited into the Hawaii historic preservation special fund.

     SECTION 3.  There is appropriated out of the Hawaii historic preservation special fund the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2015-2016 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 to address the issues surrounding historic residences, including but not limited to inventorying of residential structures that are fifty years old or older.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of land and natural resources for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
