A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to a university of hawaii conference center.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 304A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§304A- Conference center revolving fund; University of Hawaii-West Oahu. (a) There is established the conference center revolving fund for the purpose of assisting conference center programs conducted by the University of Hawaii-West Oahu. All fees, charges, and other moneys collected in conjunction with the conference center program shall be deposited into the conference center revolving fund.
(b) The University of Hawaii-West Oahu chancellor, or the chancellor's designee, without regard to chapter 103D, may expend funds from the revolving fund for costs associated with conducting conferences, seminars, and courses by the conference center program, including but not limited to costs for:
(1) Honoraria;
(2) Lei;
(3) Hotel and other room rentals;
(4) Food and other refreshments;
(5) Printing and mailing;
(6) Airfare and per diem costs;
(7) Audiovisual equipment rentals; and
(8) Conference supplies and materials."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
