A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO MORTGAGE SERVICERS.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 454M-4, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows:
"(c) To the extent reasonably necessary to
participate in NMLS, the commissioner may modify [any or all of the
requirements of subsections (e) and (i).] or waive, in whole or in part,
by rule or order, any or all of the requirements in this chapter."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act, upon its approval, shall take effect on July 1, 2022.
