A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 87A-15, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:
"[[]§87A-15[]]
Administration of the fund.
The board and each trustee shall administer [and carry out the
purpose of the fund. Health] health
and other benefit plans [shall be provided at a cost affordable to both the
public employers and the public employees.] for the sole and exclusive
benefit of the beneficiaries."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Hawaii EUTF; Administration of Fund
Description:
Specifies that each EUTF trustee, in addition to the EUTF board, shall administer health and other benefit plans for the sole and exclusive benefit of EUTF beneficiaries. Repeals provisions requiring health and other benefit plans to be provided at an affordable cost to both public employers and public employees.
