A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO MILK.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 321, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§321- Unpasturized milk. Milk produced by a hoofed animal shall not be required to be pasteurized if the milk is intended for personal consumption or personal use by the owner or by the milk producer of the hoofed animal producing the particular milk.
For purposes of this section, "milk producer" means any person who operates a dairy farm and provides, sells, or offers any milk for sale to a milk plant, receiving station, or transfer station."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
