A BILL FOR AN ACT
Making appropriations for collective bargaining cost items.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this Act is to amend Act 283, Session Laws of Hawaii 2013, to increase the general fund appropriation for raises negotiated or arbitrated on behalf of the collective bargaining members and their excluded civil service counterparts who are employed by the Hawaii health systems corporation.
SECTION 2. Act 283, Session Laws of Hawaii 2013, is amended by amending section 1 to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. [There] Notwithstanding
any other law to the contrary, there is appropriated out of the general
revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $12,000,000 or so much thereof as
may be necessary for fiscal year 2013-2014 and the [same] sum of
$ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year
2014-2015 as a subsidy for Hawaii health systems corporation for employment
costs.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii health systems corporation for the purposes of this Act."
SECTION 3. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon approval.
