A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE AGRIBUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. (a) The state auditor shall conduct a financial audit of the agribusiness development corporation established pursuant to chapter 163D, Hawaii Revised Statutes. The financial audit shall include all agribusiness development corporation financial statements from fiscal years ending June 30, 2019, June 30, 2020, and June 30, 2021.
(b) The state auditor shall submit a report to the legislature of findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2022.
SECTION 2. (a) The state auditor shall conduct a management audit of the agribusiness development corporation established pursuant to chapter 163D, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
(b) The state auditor shall submit a report to the legislature of findings and recommendations, including any proposed legislation, no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2022.
SECTION 3. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 to the office of the auditor to conduct a financial audit of the agribusiness development corporation.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the office of the auditor for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 to the office of the auditor to conduct a management audit of the agribusiness development corporation.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the office of the auditor for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2150.
